Always Parenting 

About the Program:

The Fort Bend County "Always Parenting" Program is a collaboration between Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and Behavioral Health Services. Always Parenting is a second chance program that assists individuals currently incarcerated (or have been in the last 6 months) at Fort Bend County Jail and have minor children. Children with an incarcerated parent may experience a multitude of stresses and hardship. "Always Parenting" offers an opportunity for incarcerated parents to rebuild relationships and maintain their relationship with their children. In addition, the program provides support services to the children and other caregivers.

Free Services Provided:

Parenting Classes: 
Circles Of Security for Parents with children six years and under

Parenting Inside Out

Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

Visit Coaching:
Understanding the visitation process at FBC Jail   

Strengthen bonds between the incarcerated parent and their children or family members

Addressing potential challenges such as communication barriers, emotional distress, or behavioral issues during visits. 

Providing education on child development, parenting techniques, and coping strategies to incarcerated parents.

Case Management Service for both the incarcerated parent and the parent in the community.

Re-entry Services for the parent being released from FBC Jail.
 

Wraparound Assistance for the families.
